European Roulette

Piggs Peak offers an excellent version of European Roulette, delivered with state-of-the-art technology, that results in sheer gaming pleasure. Best of all is that it offers a wide range of betting options, that is sure to match your betting preferences.

The surest way to win at European Roulette, is to familiarize yourself with the rules of the game, and to understand the differences between this variant and the American version.

So let us take a look at the differences between European Roulette and American Roulette:

•    The most distinct difference is the amount of numbers on the table. In European Roulette there is only a single 0 (zero) and no 00 (double zero)

•    Another difference, that has the benefit of a reduced house edge, is a rule called “en prison.” This rule implies that bets on red; black; odds; evens; high or low, which lose to the zero, are not automatically lost. They are “trapped” on the layout for one more spin. Should the best win during this second spin, the player gets in back (resulting in a push). Should the best lose, the dealer takes it

•    The numbers on a European Roulette table are also arranged differently from the American version. This results in another betting system where the bets are known as “call bets.” Call bets are placed on what is referred to as a “race track” which is an elliptical representation of the wheel. When playing at a land casino, these are bets that you verbally request from the dealer, but when playing online, they are simply combination bets. These combinations have French names, but for your convenience, we are listing an explanation of them:

o    Voisins du Zero (Neighbors of Zero): This type of bet uses 9 chips. It covers 17 numbers in an arc between the numbers 22 and 25. The numbers 0-2-3 are covered with 2 chips, and the balance of 14 numbers are covered with 7 chips. Should the ball land on 0-2-3, you win 15 chips, and when it lands on any of the other numbers, it pays 9 chips

o    Tiers du Cylindre (One-Third of the Cylinder): This type of bet costs 33 chips. It covers the 12 numbers that are in an arc between the numbers 27 & 33. ins are paid out in a 2:1 ratio

o    The balance of 8 numbers on the wheel located in mini-arcs 1-9 and 6-17 have suitably been dubbed “orphelins,” which means “orphans.” It requires 8 chips to play Orphelins en Plein, which pertains to the “orphans” with 1 chip on each number. Wins pay 7:2

o    Orphelins a Cheval refers to the bet that covers the orphans with one chip on 1, one on 17, and the remaining three chips on the other numbers. Technically 17 is bet twice with a split, but the practical result is a one-chip bet. Should the ball land on 1 or 17, you win 31 chips. If any of the other numbers win, it pays 13 chips

o    Neighbor Bets: This bet costs 1 chip for every number. It applies to any number on slots on the left or the right: either 3, 5, 7, or 9 numbers in all. So you would select for example the number 25, and all its neighbours

Now that you have an understanding of the game, it is clear to see that anyone can win at roulette.
